Honda Motor Company will present new 2016 Honda Crosstour. It will be one among the first models of next generation which will be released, probably in mid-2015. The aim of this manufacturer is that this model keeps its place as one of the best in its segment, and follows other Honda’s models. Related to this tendency, new model will bring new, advanced technology, redesigned parts of exterior and interior and improved output parameters. 2016 Honda Crosstour: Interior
Crosstour is characterized as ideal vehicle for long trip. New model will be longer, as well as wheelbase. This will affect to the other characteristics. Spacious interior, good aerodynamic and satisfied parameters of fuel consumption are main advantages of 2016 Honda Crosstour. 2016 Honda Crosstour: Engine, MPG
Under the hood of 20165 Honda Crosstour will not be changes. Two types of engines as for the predecessor will run and this new model. The first one is 2.4-litre gasoline engine. This 4-cylinder DOHC i-VTEC product provides output maximum of 196 horsepower (at 7000 rpm) and 162 lb-ft of torque. More power is provided by 3.5-litre V6 SOHC i-VTEC engine. This engine can delivers up to 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. 2.4L engine is paired to the 5-speed automatic gearbox, while the second one is with 6-speed automatic. Weaker engine is designed only for front-wheel drive mode, while 3.5L V6 engine is available and with all-wheel drive. So, depending on the choice of equipment and engines, the new model will be available in five versions. There will be 2016 Honda Crosstour EX FWD, then EX V6 FWD, EX-L FWD, EX-L V6 FWD and EX-L V6 AWD. Expectation is that fuel economy will be lower in compare to previous model. EPA was rated previous with 23/22/30 mpg, while 2016 Honda Crosstour will exceed 25/22/31 mpg in combined/city/highway driving.
2016 Honda Crosstour: Price and Competitors
Competition will be continued with the same rivals. Market stands out Acura MDX, Mazda CX-5, Toyota Highlander and GMC Acadia as top vehicles in this segment. Rivals will be and Audi Allroad, Volvo V60, Volvo XC70 and Subaru Outback. Price will be in the range as for the previous model, from $ 27,400 to $ 37,250, depending of trim level.
